Exterior Colors

October 18th, 2013

I’ve mentioned before that one of the hardest things to select is paint.

Make it exterior, and double the challenge by two.

Exterior paint is VERY tricky.

We select all exterior colors at my design firm, and it often leads to standing outside on the sidewalk with paint swatches.

Sun and weather conditions can make a color look very different from it’s interior presence.

Our house currently is a bit of a beige wonder:

Are you bored?

It needs some pep. Any time my dad brings us home, he pulls into our neighbor’s driveway.  Sadly, it is not ours! We LOVE their house.  It’s the cutest one on the street.

Obviously, we are not going to copy their scheme.

I’m leaning towards this direction: a neutral green field color with light trim and dark accents.

If only our exterior looked like that! Throw in a little Sherwin Williams:

What do you think? Too bold?

  1. I love that green – I think it will perfectly compliment the stone! Your house is adorable!
